Hi there, we really appreciate your patience as we are building a new special blog coming soon.
Stay tuned to that, in the meantime we are continuing to work on our internet presence. O'Neal Productions-Tiki Studios has been very busy lately recording some great music!

Mr. & Mrs. Ron E. Beck came to the studio to check out the newest blues album of Joanne LeBlanc. This new album "Found & Lost" was recorded in Studio A with Gradie O'Neal engineering and JC Smith producing. Jeannine O'Neal mixed the project in Studio B

Jose Ramirez is currently working on an album with Jeannine O'Neal producing and arranging the music.

Pastor Josefina Israde just completed her new album Una Sonrisa in Studio B with Jeannine O'Neal
producing and performing the instruments.

CHILDREN OF THE ROCK just completed their album project with Tiki. The band was recorded in Studio A with Gradie engineering and the mixing & mastering was done in Studio B with Jeannine.

JOHN DEMERS is in Studio A recording a Christmas project. John is a Frank Sinatra impersonator and performs all over the US.

LUIS RAMIREZ.S. is recording a new Christian Spanish album with Jeannine producing & performing the instruments. These are rancheros, boleros and ballads.

Did you know Tiki Studios-O'Neal Productions has a 9 1/2 foot concert grand?
It is a 1912 IBACH piano, it has the 3 extra bass notes like the Bosendorfer piano and is considered one of the best pianos ever made. This one survived World War 2 in Germany and was shipped to the US and is housed in Studio A being played by some of the leading classical, jazz, rock and blues performers.

Jeannine O'Neal will be performing with many artists for the Raise Up 4 concert which is Myra & John Jalique's ministry Scholars4Jesus See www.scholars4jesus.org for more information about this great ministry to help children go to school in the Philippines.

This week at Tiki Studios-O'Neal Productions

Mike Allen of Mike Allen Sports did a radio interview in Studio A with Pastor Frederick Roberts for his internet radio program. For more information on Mike Allen Sports- www.MikeAllenSports.com
He works with the youth providing sports, music and motivational speaking to bring a positive message to them with camps, school assemblies, leagues and much more check out his website.

Akoma has been in several times throughout this month recording with Gradie in Studio A. Here is a little
information about this group from their website www.akomaarts.org

Akoma is a multi-ethnic group that takes a new and interesting performance approach, while representing West African drum, dance and vocal stylings, we do not limit our experience to Africa. We include the African American, Latin American and Caribbean Diaspora in our performances.

Isaac Camarena has been in recording vocals with Gradie and Jeannine adds the band to his music. He travels to different churches and performs his music to the glory of God

Also in recording is John Charles, JC & Co. He has been recording with the Hammond this week finishing up some final touches on his series of projects.

Elvis Zapeda was in recording some beautiful songs that he wrote and arranged. Great talent!

Jeannine has been tracking several projects this week including Mariana DeSoto (a Latin jazz album), Jose Ortiz (a Spanish Christian Album) and Starr Neal (Gospel) music.

What a week!

2 Exciting things.

First back in 1977 Gradie engineered and recorded a band at Tiki Studios lead by Eduardo Robledo titled Flor Del Pueblo. One of the songs has been picked to go into an album that is now in the Smithsonian. The song is entitled "Soy Del Pueblo" written by Debora Rodriguez, Felipe Rodriguez, Francisco Rodriguez, Eduardo Robledo, Yolanda Perez, Enrique Castillo, Ramiro Perez, Clay Shanrock, Arturo Delgado. From the "Musica de Nuestra America" LP.

The Smithsonian Folkways Recordings album is entitled Rolas de Aztlan.. Songs of the Chicano Movement. This band is a piece of history recorded right here at Tiki Studios-O'Neal Productions.

More of historic recordings will come in future blogs.

One more piece of history, did you know Jeannine O'Neal and her band introduced her first album "New American Music" with Ricky Skaggs & Sweethearts of the Rodeo in a packed football field in Newman California. Her music was a new hybrid sound of country/rock/Latin & swing. She got a lot of airplay on that album across the US. True story!

JC (John Charles) & Co. Slammin the Hammond on many of his tunes this week.

Jeannine has been busy tracking Mariana De Soto's new Latin jazz album.

Also tracking Pastor Jose Luis' new ranchera/bolero album.

Jeannine just finished Brother Isaac Camarena's latest project. Brother Ike (as we call him) was a big part of Tiki Studios-O'Neal Productions back in 1985 when this new studio was built. Jeannine recorded 3 albums for this minister who traveled all over South America bringing the Gospel to his country.

Raiznhavoc has been working on videos and should have the new album release very soon. Keep a watch for this unique sound created by Jeannine O'Neal.

Jeannine O'Neal will be performing with Butch Whacks & The Glass Packs this Sunday September 25, 2011 at Rancho Nicasio beginning at 4:00 pm. Tickets are still available. Great food & totally fun music!!

                            Definitely Jeannine's best album to date. My favorite songs on the album are 'Don't Miss'
and 'My Dear Lord' - on which Jeannine takes the chorus of the song to the highest peak possible. Once again this multi-talented musician is impeccable. I think Jeannine plays all the instruments on this album herself and there are again some very unique sound effects throughout the CD. The producer of the album deserves an applause, and I think many people will be blessed by this album.

Jeannine just finished the Victorious Living Women's Conference that went on last Friday and Saturday.

It was a fantastic conference that was put on by Pastor Sheyna Heard of Rohi Christian Church. Pastor Sheyna Heard, Tasha Smith and Dr. Jasmin W. Sculark were featured ministers and there was a Martha Munizzi concert at the end.

The worship band was an all girl group put together and lead by Nancy Blade. Jeannine played guitar and sax.

La Tanya Broadnax, Gianna Carpenedo, Jewels Caseras, Amelia Schmotzer, Bev Cotton, and Lisa Jiminez.

The band Touch and Go was in recording their latest project in Studio A with Larry Attanasio producing

and Gradie engineering

Mariana DeSoto is in with percussionist Rudy Quesada on her new upcoming album produced by Jeannine.

The fresh touch of cymbals to the keyboard track brings some crisp definition to the project as it grows in San Jose. JC (John Charles) & Co.

We lost a great musician and friend this last week Alex Gonzales. He just finished a project at Tiki Studios-O'Neal Productions for Pastor Luis Ortiz from Arizona recording many of the instruments with Gradie O'Neal engineering and Jeannine mixing. He was known throughout the bay area as one of the great accordian players and he traveled Chicago and most of the places in Texas and the Pacific Northwest. We will surely miss him.

John Charles is continuing his ongoing album and currently is working on his second Christmas album with Chipper visiting.

Jeannine has been engineering/mixing a session with Christian rap/hip hop artist Lil La La.

Jeannine is working on a session for Myra Jalique with legendary pedal steel player Bobby Black.

Daphne De La Torre has been in creating and arranging her Christian album.

We are rejoicing because Pastor Josephine Israde completed her Christian worship album.

Many more projects are in so we will continue this week.

Back at the studio this week

Pastor Josephine Israde is working on her 2nd Spanish Christian album with Jeannine producing and arranging. She is a beautiful person who has the joy of the Lord all around her and writes powerful and beautiful songs.

Daphne De La Torre brought her talented son Booom Bleezy to do a rap part on her song "I Need You". Daphne creates her own musical style that is creative and unique. This song was inspired by helping a homeless person that she was able to help personally. Daphne is working on a Christian album that is dedicated to helping others.

Allen Wang is recording a Chinese Christian song in Studio B with Jeannine producing and arranging.

Starr Neal is beginning her Gospel album with Jeannine. Great praise and worship. More to come on that.

Marianne De La Torre is working on an album to help the mentally ill with Jeannine. She performs her music all over California and writes music that touches on many subjects in the field.

Guy Palazollo was in doing vocals on the Ohana 5 Band in studio A with Gradie engineering. Studio A has had a facelift and is up and running.

Jeannine played guitar in the worship band at the Cathedral Of Faith for the 5 pm Service Saturday night and 3 Services Sunday morning 8:30, 10 & 11:45 and then directed and played guitar for the worship band for the 2:00 pm Spanish service. Gloria Dios!!

Saturday night Jeannine played guitar and sax for a special concert featuring singer/songwriter Jessica Johnson at the Fairmont Hotel. Tom Tomasello on keys, Frank Cavasos on drums and Gus Kambeitz on bass.

Studio A Gradie completed the solo piano album for Jack Sternwillow.
Studio B Raiznhavoc is still working on the album. Got a lot completed on the project.
Jeannine lead worship for the Lay Chaplains Fellowship Meeting and Gradie did sound at Cathedral Of Faith, then Jeannine went for band rehearsal for Sunday Services.

All in all it was a good day

Studio A-Solo pianist Jack Sternwillow is continuing to record his album with Gradie

Studio B- Mark Palazollo is mixing with Jeannine an album recorded in Studio A with his band. Mark is an exceptional guitar player.

Raiznhavoc was also in Studio B still in full swing recording for the debut album Raizn The Bar.

It was a busy day at Tiki Studios-O'Neal Productions as you can see. Easter is coming and the music department at Cathedral of Faith is gearing up for a big production. Meanwhile, the Power In Praise Team had a meeting/rehearsal gearing up for Power In Praise this Friday night March 25, 2011 7:30 pm in the chapel at Cathedral Of Faith. A great night of Praise and Worship. Also in Studio B during the day John Charles added some marctree on his album with Jeannine adding drums, harmonica, sax and guitar on a few of his songs. Gradie was hard at work with the publishing company screening and looking for some great songs. We get songs from all over the world from songwriters.

Studio A Gradie is continuing to work on a solo piano album by Jack Sternwillow

Studio B- Jeannine worked on a mix for hip hop African artist Thade King
After that to Cathedral Of Faith for the Saturday evening service where she plays guitar this week and on a special song by Cedrick Tsang she is playing harmonica.
After that she is joining Tom Tomasello, Mark Cepeda, Ruth on Keys and doing the Broadway Musical Xanadu at the Retrodome in San Jose

Quite a variety of stuff. A good day although very rainy

Wow what a good day. Studio A worked with Jack Sternwillow, a solo pianist working on his album

Studio B Jeannine lead worship for the Chosen Generation a ministry at Cathedral Of Faith, came back and worked on a session with R&B singer/songwriter Conrad "Rad". He is creating a unique blend of current R&B and mixes is with a touch of jazz and ad lib scatting on his vocals. He is a keyboard player and saxophonist as well.
After that Jeannine was back at rehearsal for Cathedral Of Faith where she will be playing guitar and as a change harmonica this weekend.

Chipper was greeting everyone that came to visit.

What a great day! Jeannine recorded two sessions in Studio B.
The first is keyboard/singer/songwriter/producer John Charles. Jeannine did 4 hours of drums. Epsom salts is calling!! The second session was a new Christian rap/hip hop artist Riley. He is just beginning his album in studio B.

Studio A- Gradie recorded a young ukelele/vocalist today. She is working on her first video and solo pianist Jack Sternwillow. Finished up 10 songs on the 9' 1912 Ibach piano. Awesome for any piano player.

Chipper the studio security guard kissed every cat that came in the yard. She's everyone's buddy.
